It all began in 1929 with the planting of the first plot in Côte Blonde by the great-grandfather; a plot that was only accessible by ox-cart at the time! The estate was then passed down through four generations. Today, Agnès Levet makes the wines, following in the footsteps of her parents Nicole and Bernard Levet. She perpetuates the tradition of a great age-worthy wine, respectful of its terroir in Côte Rôtie, and develops her search for qualitative wines in Condrieu. The estate comprises 4.5 hectares of terraced vineyards on schist slopes, exposed South-South-East, with some vines over 70 years old! They are spread across several lieux-dits in the commune of Ampuis. The plots are planted mainly with "petite serine", the old variety of Syrah, specific to the Ampuis terroir, which produces small, high-quality bunches, and with massal selection.
