VILLA MINNA Minna 2021 IGP Pays des Bouches du Rhône 75cl Red
Grape Varieties: 42% Syrah, 46% Cabernet Sauvignon and 12% Mourvèdre.
Winemaking/Ageing: Fermentation takes place exclusively with indigenous yeasts naturally present on the grapes. Each grape variety is aged separately in an underground cellar, exclusively in used oak barrels to preserve the aromatic expression of the terroir. The wine spends 24 months on fine lees, with regular bâtonnage (lees stirring). The entire process is carefully managed to produce a wine that is elegant, harmonious and beautifully balanced.
Tasting Notes: Rich aromas of dark fruits and spices, with a beautifully structured palate and silky tannins. The long, elegant finish reveals notes of preserved black olives and a distinctive minerality reflecting the cool soils. A magnificent expression of the finest Provençal red wines.
🍷 Serving Temperature: 16 to 18°C
Decanting: 2 hours before serving.
Ageing Potential: A further 10 years.
Located near Aix-en-Provence, the Villa Minna vineyards lie between Éguilles and Saint-Cannat, surrounded by unspoilt natural landscapes.
Certified organic since 2012 and committed to biodynamic farming since 2019, the estate is also transitioning towards vitiforestry, integrating trees into its vineyards. This holistic approach places respect for nature and biodiversity at the heart of everything they do.
The vineyards stretch across two slopes, one north-facing and the other facing due south. Set among rolling hills and Mediterranean garrigue, the vines grow on fossil-rich clay-limestone soils, allowing each grape variety to fully express its aromatic potential.
