The first records of Domaine Goisot date back to the 14th century in the village of Saint-Bris-le-Vineux, in the Yonne department in northern Burgundy. The estate spans 30 hectares across the communes of Saint-Bris, Irancy, and Chablis.

In 1979, when Ghislaine and Jean-Hugues took over the family estate, working with respect for their land was of utmost importance to them. Certified organic by Ecocert since 2001 and biodynamic by Demeter since 2005, Guilhem and his wife Marie have continued this philosophy with dedication.

The vines are planted at a density of 10,000 vines per hectare, compared to the usual 4,500 to 7,000 in the Yonne. This choice has paid off, as it results in smaller, more complex grapes with better ripeness. Increasing vine density encourages competition between the vines, enhancing quality. When treatments are necessary, only 100% natural products are used (rock powders and plant decoctions, for example). Similarly, to stimulate soil life, humus is spread on certain plots; never chemical fertilisers. This care extends all the way to the bottle. Their entire approach is dedicated to producing wine that is both authentic and healthy; for people and for nature.

Today, Domaine Goisot is recognised as a benchmark for biodynamic wines in Burgundy, producing cuvées of exceptional consistency each year. Unfortunately, recent years have brought challenging conditions, especially with harsh frosts in the region. Despite this, their wines remain pure and elegant, with each terroir expressed with great sensitivity in the bottle. Due to the low yields imposed by Mother Nature, volumes remain limited for this small estate, and we are very proud to represent them.
