LAHERTE FRERES Les Vignes d'Autrefois 2019 Champagne Extra Brut 75cl White
Grape variety: 100% Meunier
Old vines planted between 1947 and 1964 in the villages of Chavot and Mancy. Soils are shallow clay-limestone with chalk, small pebbles and flint, on a hard limestone subsoil.
Tasting note: A Meunier with real character, pure and expressive, combining ripe fruit with a lovely mineral structure. The palate is generous, well-balanced and lifted by fine tension.
Disgorged: 11/2022
Dosage: 2 to 4 g/L
🍷 Serving temperature: 10-11°C ; not too cold!
In 1889, Jean‑Baptiste Laherte founded the family estate and planted most of the vines in the village of Chavost, which would later become Chavot.
Since 2005, Aurélien Laherte, representing the seventh generation of winegrowers, has brought new energy to the domaine while following in the footsteps of his father Thierry and uncle Christian, the two brothers.
Together, with passion, they uphold the family's values and continue to showcase true Grower Champagnes and expressions of terroir.
