DOMAINE DES BOISSIERES Lias 2022 Marcillac 75cl Red
Grape variety: Fer Servadou (also known as Mansois), from 60-year-old vines
Single-parcel selection on limestone soil. Aged for 12 months in demi-muids (600L oak barrels).
Tasting notes: Deep in colour, with an expressive and generous nose of red fruit and blackcurrant, lifted by those characteristically spicy notes. The palate is smooth and juicy, yet with enough roundness to offer a lovely velvety texture. A cuvée we truly love!
🍷 Serving temperature: 16°C
Marc Fraysse is a young winemaker who has taken over the two hectares of vines originally planted by his great-grandfather. After travelling as far as Australia, he has now settled back in his native Aveyron, where he cultivates his estate using biodynamic practices. No additives are used in his beautifully crafted wines, including this superb Marcillac, made exclusively from Mansois (also known as Fer Servadou).
