TETRAMYTHOS Retsina Nature Amphore 2023 Péloponnèse Grèce 75cl White
Grape : 100% Roditis with 1% natural pine resin
Terroir : 750 m altitude, gravelly sands over fossil-rich limestone
Vinification : 6 months in amphora with native yeasts, then in tank. Certified organic.
Tasting notes : Delicate and aromatic take on retsina – floral, sappy and herbal with notes of pine, white pepper and forest floor. Bright and saline on the palate, with a savoury, mouthwatering finish. A brilliant food wine, try it with spiced or curry dishes!
🍷 Serve at 10-12°C
NB: Retsina is an ancestral Greek winemaking tradition: pine resin was originally added to wine as a natural preservative.
Nestled at 750 m altitude above Kalavryta, Domaine Tétramythos offers a refreshing mountain take on Greek wine. While the Peloponnese coast bakes in the sun, up here it’s cooler, more humid, perfect for organic viticulture. Their range is bright, authentic and always full of freshness. Don’t miss their deliciously original natural Retsina!
