LA TROCHOIRE Macération Longue 2019 VdF White 75cl Orange
Grape Variety: Chenin
Harvested in several successive passes. Whole cluster maceration for 1 month. Aged in barrels for 10 months. Aged in tanks for 6 months.
Tasting notes: Zesty nose, sweet oranges already very salivating, palate of ripe fruit with sap, full-bodied, generous, quince, honey, spices; complex finish with a fine tannic and pure framework, superb!
🍷 Serving temperature 12-14°C
The estate, managed by Bastien Rocour, aims to be agricultural rather than solely viticultural. Hedges, orchards, vineyards, meadows, and cultivated lands alternate harmoniously according to the topography of the area. However, viticulture remains predominant with approximately 3 hectares of white grapes, and his dearest wish is "to produce honest wines, without artifice, whose simple vocation is to express this place, the climatology of the vintage, and the sum of actions performed throughout the year." The first vintages are very promising, we truly enjoyed them!
