MELARIC Clos de La Cerisaie 2019 Saumur Puy Notre-Dame 75cl Red
Grape variety: Cabernet Franc
Clay-silt soil on white tuffeau, 55-year-old vines, 10 to 14 days infusion maceration, 100% destemmed, Two years aging in barrels, 15% of which are new barrels for up to 7 wines, Unfiltered
Tasting notes: A dense wine oscillating between red and black fruits, a superb balance without austerity, dense and long with smooth and enveloping tannins. A huge success for Aymeric and for us too ;) !!

Domaine Mélaric is comprised of Mélanie and Aymeric, both with extensive experience in the wine world before settling in the Loire region in 2006. They set up shop in the beautiful Saumur area, Puy Notre-Dame, gradually acquiring their 4 hectares of vines. It's a hill with magnificent tuffeau soils, highly sought after for their minerality, and where more and more young winemakers are settling! Their organic-biodynamic approach to work, along with gentle and patient aging practices, brings purity and minerality.
