Parcel of 50-year-old vines on Tuffeau limestone soil, aged for 24 months in demi-muids (large oak barrels).
Tasting notes: a beautiful energy, a very salivating palate and a straightness that has refined itself in recent years.
🍷 Serving temperature 10-12°C
Domaine Mélaric is comprised of Mélanie and Aymeric, both with extensive experience in the wine world before settling in the Loire region in 2006. They set up shop in the beautiful Saumur area of Puy-Notre-Dame, gradually acquiring their 4 hectares of vines. This is a hill with magnificent Tuffeau soils, highly sought after for their minerality, and where more and more young winemakers are settling! Their bio-biodynamic approach to their work, along with gentle and patient aging practices, bring purity and minerality.
