Grape Variety: 100% Pinot Noir
Terroir: Brown limestone soils. Vines from Bodegas Quaderna Via (Iguzquiza - near Estella).
Vinification: 3 weeks maceration. Pump-overs. Aged for one year in 500L barrels, then 6 months in clay and stainless steel. No SO2 added during bottling, but it was used after malolactic fermentation. The final total SO2 is less than 10 mg/L. Bottling in May 2024.
Tasting: Floral, earthy, and sanguine. Quite deep in color. Very mineral, with a saline finish.

Imanol Garay, originally from San Sebastien, is a unique winemaker with a diverse artistic spirit. A former cooper, he crafts wines with a deep intuition and connection to the vineyards. Drawing inspiration from his experiences across the Pyrénées, he sources grapes from both the French and Spanish sides, gradually planting his own vines. His wines are personal and vibrant, reflecting his distinctive approach. Beyond winemaking, Imanol is also a talented artist, painting all of his wine labels, and a gifted pianist. With a piano in the heart of his wine cellar, he plays to his barrels, bringing music into his winemaking process. Currently, he is working on an album of his own compositions, set to be released on vinyl, blending his artistic passions with his craft.
