Terroir: From Voipreux and Vertus, Côte des Blancs. Light soils with fine clays and silts on the surface; soft chalk subsoil. Vines are farmed with respect for life and natural balance.

Tasting notes: Delicate, chalky nose. The palate is dense with a striking chalky texture and a salty finish – like biting into pure chalk!

In 1889, Jean‑Baptiste Laherte founded the family estate and planted most of the vines in the village of Chavost, which would later become Chavot.
Since 2005, Aurélien Laherte, representing the seventh generation of winegrowers, has brought new energy to the domaine while following in the footsteps of his father Thierry and uncle Christian, the two brothers.
Together, with passion, they uphold the family's values and continue to showcase true Grower Champagnes and expressions of terroir.
