Nicolas and Gersende Saint Exupéry of Domaine Pech Celeyran represent the sixth generation of the family working the vines. Seeking to expand, they were entrusted in 2006 with the vineyards of the Mougères monastery, leased from the Sisters of Mougères.
The estate’s history runs deep! The Hérault valley has winemaking traditions dating back to Gallo-Roman times. After the first monastery was built in Mougères in the 14th century, the Carthusian monks inherited it in 1825, restoring the buildings and cultivating the vines with skill and generosity. The Sisters later took over from the monks, and in 2014, the Saint Exupéry family purchased the vineyards. The story continues...
