Lionel BRENIER Intemporel 2024 Vin de France (Drôme Nord) 75cl White
Grape variety: 100% Villard Blanc; a hybrid created in Saint-Vallier (Drôme) after the phylloxera crisis, highly resistant to downy mildew and powdery mildew, with vines aged 50 to 70 years.
Terroir: Sandy-silty soil with rolled pebbles in Épinouze.
Winemaking / Aging: Pneumatic pressing of whole bunches, fermentation in barrels at low temperature using indigenous yeasts, aged in barrels that have held six previous wines, with moderate bâtonnage (lees stirring).
Tasting notes: Very distinctive, the wine reveals aromas of citrus fruits and fresh pineapple. The finish is very mouthwatering and finely tapered.
🍷 Serving temperature: 11-12°C
The Domaine Lionel Brenier is located in Épinouze in the Drôme des Collines, in the northern part of the department. The climate is similar to that of Crozes-Hermitage: temperate and well-ventilated. The northern wind helps keep the vines healthy. Winters are cold, while summers can be very hot. The estate covers a total of 4.08 hectares across different plots.
