The tasting plates offered by Quentin and his father provide a truly surprising experience. Through geobiology, this father-and-son duo charge these elegant clay discs with intentions, which they then transmit to the wine using magnetic energy.
Depending on the wine’s profile, it can gain either structure or suppleness, in search of balance, and we can confirm: it works. We tried it ourselves with a lovely Pinot/Gamay from Domaine Henriot in Champlitte.
Give it a go! The process is simple: pour two identical glasses of the same wine. Place one on the disc, leave the other beside it. After about 30 minutes, taste and compare.
In the regular glass, the wine showed lively, crunchy red fruit. But the wine from the glass placed on the disc? It had gained flesh, the fruit was smoother, and the texture denser. Truly surprising!
The disc is also designed to hold bottles or decanters, just adjust the wait time accordingly (around an hour). You can experiment further too: for example, try putting half of the wine on the disc, the other in a decanter. The results are fascinating.
