VIAL MAGNERES Gaby Vial 7 Years Banyuls 75cl Sweet Red
Grape varieties: 70% Grenache Noir, 30% Grenache Gris
Terroir: 70-year-old vines, Cambrian soil composed of decomposing brown schist
Aging: Fermentation in concrete vats, mutage on the pomace. Aged in foudres to achieve this slightly oxidative profile, a blend of several cuvées with an average age of 7 years.
Tasting notes: Lovely nose of ripe fruits, dried fig, juicy blackcurrant. On the palate, it is round and very fruity, with present and well-integrated tannins, topped with an oxidative note on the finish, ideal for food pairings! It will pair well with chocolate cake, blue cheese, or even as an aperitif!
🍷 Serving temperature 12-15°
Domaine Vial-Magnères has been a family property for 4 generations, with 10 hectares spread over small plots along the coastal façade of the communes of Banyuls and Port-Vendres. The cultivation of these vines is carried out on traditional terraces and entirely by hand. The soils are mainly composed of decomposing Cambrian schist. Grenache dominates the grape varieties (90%). Yields are low and winemaking is traditional.
