And festive food and wine pairings
For your festive starters, fish and seafood, here's a nice local selection!! We have beautiful gastronomic white wines from our region, what a shame to miss out! Oysters, seafood platters, scampi in sauce, smoked Pyrenean trout, sea bream ravioli, spider crab millefeuille... so many ideas and recipes that, paired with our wines, will be sublime and delight you!
Did you know that traditional Foie Gras can be paired with other wines than sweet ones?! Here are some ideas!
- A terrine of foie gras: try a round, rich dry wine that will envelop it, or a slightly sweet and slightly acidic sweet wine
- A semi-cooked foie gras: avoid an overly sweet dessert wine that will be too heavy; opt for a dry white wine, powerful, slightly evolved or slightly oaked; or why not an oxidative wine! Now is the time to test new sensory flavors!
- Pan-fried foie gras, served as a starter or main course, can be paired with a beautiful, very round dry white that will complement the foie gras while having a very nice freshness to contrast, but also with a red, with a suave and fleshy texture, why not a sunny, spicy style!
____________
For the main course, would you prefer white meat or red meat?! Unless, by conviction or desire, you opt for a vegetable dish, like a dahl with oriental flavors... Here are some more ideas!
____________
All year round, we talk to you about Champagne from Vignerons! You will find what you are looking for, from more vinous Champagne, to more mineral, chalky, rounder Champagne... but always from a passionate winemaker who wants to work his terroir with conviction and fairness! Do you prefer a wine with a resolutely more funky look?! We have a whole range of Natural Sparkling Wines to party until the end of the night 🥳
