CHARTREUSE DE MOUGERES

Nicolas and Gersende Saint Exupéry of Chartreuse de Mouguères are the 6^th generation to work in the vineyard. They sought to expand, and in 2006, the Sisters of Mougères entrusted them with the monastery's vineyards under a tenancy agreement. The estate's history dates back! The Hérault valley has traditions that began with the Gallo-Romans. After a first monastery was built in Mougères in the 14^th century, it was in 1825 that the Carthusian monks inherited it, restored the buildings, and worked the vines with talent and generosity. The sisters took over from the monks, and in 2014, the Saint Exupéry family bought the vineyards. The story continues...
