CHÂTEAU DE MESSEY
The Château de Messey estate has been organically certified since 2021. Today, it spans 10 hectares across two appellations. In addition to their original plot, there is the Clos des Avoueries, a high-altitude walled vineyard on limestone soil in Mâcon-Cruzille, and the Crêts plot, opposite the château, in Mâcon-Chardonnay. In winemaking, the Château de Messey estate uses no additives that could alter the taste of each terroir. Only very low doses of SO2 are used. The result is superb; the wines are expressive with ripe fruit aromas but without any heaviness. An estate to discover!
