CLOS DES JARRES

A small 12-hectare estate run organically, Clos des Jarres was created in 2010 by Vivien Hemelsdael in the communes of Laure and Caunes Minervois, at the foot of the Montagne Noire in the Aude region. Vivien, who took over from his parents who supplied their grapes to a cooperative, cultivates his vines and nurtures his wines with the utmost respect for his terroir and plants to create complex and vibrant wines. He undertakes humble and meticulous work in his vineyard to cultivate the best possible grapes, so that winemaking is simply the logical continuation of the work in the soil: it naturally respects and transcends the initial fruit.
