DOMAINE ENTRAS Lo Cèu 2018 VdF (Gascogne) 150cl Magnum White
Grape varieties: Petit Manseng, Ugni Blanc, Colombard
Terroir: White marl soil with very chalky subsoil.
Aging: In large oak barrels on fine lees.
Tasting: A beautiful gastronomic cuvée! Fruity on the nose, with delicate notes of fresh apricot and candied lemon, the wine on the palate teases with a lively attack, roundness and fruit dance together, and the saline finish is long. A well-defined minerality!
🍷 Serving temperature 12°, good aging potential 10 years and +
Michel Maestrojuan, an agronomist and oenologist by training, traveled to beautiful estates in Burgundy, the Loire, and also abroad, immersing himself in different daily routines and different ways of working... The time came to return to his roots, and he came back to the family vineyard with the goal of converting to Organic Farming and natural winemaking that produce elegant, fine wines with an unmistakable Gascon character!
The Maestrojuan family has also traditionally always distilled a small part of its harvest for aging in Armagnac barrels. Each year, a few bottles of Armagnacs, blended and vintage, are bottled. These are always close to their natural alcohol content. It's a small-scale, artisanal production of excellent quality! See the Armagnac range.
