DOMAINE JOBLOT
Charles Joblot is the founding grandfather of the estate after the war, who himself advocated for the recognition of the Givry appellation in 1946. Then, it's a family story: Marc in the 60s who sold all the bottles outside of négociant deals and established a strong identity for the estate in the local wine landscape, Jean-Marc & Vincent, and now Juliette since the 2012 vintage. The estate covers 14 ha where proximity is key to the care given to the vines. A natural and patient transformation, winemaking requires a watchful eye but a light hand. To achieve this goal, work in the cellar is done in closed tanks to create oxygen deprivation, which will capture the aromas and the very essence of the fruit.
