Egiategia was founded by Emmanuel Poirmeur in 2007 when he decided to return to his native land, the Basque Coast. With extensive winemaking experience behind him, he sought to experiment through wine and the sea. Underwater vinification is unique in the world! It takes place 15 meters deep with the second alcoholic fermentation. This method reveals marine notes.
