LES DEPLAUDE DE TARTARAS
It is at the crossroads of several regions in the Northern Rhône Valley, above the Pilat Regional Natural Park, that the 7-hectare Domaine des Déplaude de Tartaras was created. Anne and Pierre-André Déplaude are committed to reviving the vineyards of the Gier valley (located between Lyon and Saint-Etienne), a former vineyard of over 1500 hectares before the 1950s that supplied the factory workers of the region. Nowadays, only about fifty hectares remain, maintained by private individuals and the Déplaude family! Gentle vinification, using indigenous yeasts, allows the grapes to be guided towards wines without artifice, as close to the terroir as possible.
