Pierre Jacquet and Olivier Binet joined forces to pursue a dream, starting from scratch in 1999 to create their own domaine. They set their sights on Faugères, drawn to its famous and striking schist soils and its unique microclimate, a blend of Mediterranean warmth and the cool night breezes descending from the Cévennes.
At the time, their project was experimental: they embraced biodynamic methods, planted at high density, chose low-yielding, old rootstocks, and practiced massal selection for their vine wood. They began by sowing legumes and cereals for two years to improve soil structure, then planted their first vines and finally brought in their first harvest in 2005.
In 2006, they were lucky enough to acquire 2 hectares of old-vine Grenache and Carignan, and have since gradually expanded with a few more plantings always with the same spirit of care, conviction, and respect for the land.
