CLOS DES JARRES Abrensis 2021 IGP Peyriac 75cl Red
Grape varieties: Grenache, Carignan, Syrah
Terroir: Alluvial terraces of Quaternary rolled pebbles
Ageing: Total SO₂: 13 mg/L
Tasting notes: The nose, initially full of morello cherry, blackcurrant and thyme in its youth, evolves over time towards greater complexity, where fruit mingles with pepper and liquorice. On the palate, there is a certain density, but freshness prevails; the style the winemaker is committed to bringing to life.
🍷 Serving temperature: 16°C, decanting recommended 2 hours before serving
A fine estate of 25 hectares farmed organically, Clos des Jarres was created in 2010 by Vivien Hemelsdael in the villages of Laure and Caunes Minervois, at the foot of the Montagne Noire in the Aude. Vivien, who took over from his parents who used to bring their grapes to the cooperative, tends his vines and guides his wines with the utmost respect for his terroirs and his plants, giving rise to complex, vibrant wines full of life.
