Vincent Roussely is the fourth generation of his family to run this estate, located in the Touraine and Touraine-Chenonceaux appellations, overlooking the banks of the Cher River.
The estate covers 8 hectares and has been certified organic since 2007. The oldest vines are 80 years old. The terroir consists of clay-limestone soils with plenty of flint.
The vineyards are cultivated with great care and respect for the environment, using traditional ploughing and shallow tillage without chemicals. The oldest vines are even worked by horse! The estate is deeply committed to protecting and encouraging plant and animal biodiversity throughout its vineyards.
Another wonderful feature is that winemaking takes place in magnificent cellars carved into the tuffeau limestone beneath the vineyards! These underground galleries were excavated 250 years ago and have been specially adapted for the vinification and ageing of the estate's wines.
