SOUTH-WEST TASTING Jurançon, Madiran, Irouleguy
SOUTH-WEST TASTING Jurançon, Madiran, Irouleguy is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
South-West Wine Tasting with Thomas Buisson or Romain Geronimi. Available at short notice depending on availability.
Our cellar, located in a charming town at the foot of the Pyrenees, between the Jurançon appellation to the south, Irouléguy to the west, and the Madiran wines to the north, invites you to discover one of the best-kept secrets of viticultural France. A region that is now attracting the attention of great wine lovers thanks to the complexity of its terroirs, the altitude, and the beautiful acidity of its grape varieties.
During the tasting, we will guide you through these three regions, compare their dry white wines, and discover one of the oldest sweet wines known in France (older than the famous Sauternes) whose traces date back to the Middle Ages. While Madiran and Irouléguy are also renowned for their red wines, these remain rare in Jurançon; this tasting is therefore primarily dedicated to white wines. We can, of course, adapt the selection if necessary.
You will discover the history of the region through its wines, its grape varieties, its terroirs, and the winemakers who shape them.
Allow between 1 and 2 hours for the tasting, depending on your appetite for discovery!
Between 10 am and 6 pm, by reservation. Maximum 8 people.
