In 2008, Pierre-Michel Beheity from the estate Domaine Damiens in Aydie, close to the town of Madiran, began restructuring the original high-density vineyard, with a particular focus on Tannat. He also explored new terroirs by purchasing a new hillside plot and renting vines in a neighbouring village. Part of the original vineyard was deliberately preserved in order to retain a valuable stock of old vines.
At the same time, after considerable work, he converted the estate’s 16 hectares to organic farming. Today, his younger sister Marie has joined him at the domaine, continuing the family tradition of winegrowing
