Camille and Mikaël Hyvert took over the estate in 2017 in the commune of Martres-de-Veyre. They farm 6 hectares, split between basalt soils on the north side of Corent and clay-limestone around the winery. The couple grows mostly red varieties such as Gamay and Pinot Noir, but also 1.24 hectares of Chardonnay and a tiny plot of Melon de Bourgogne. In the vineyard, they practise physiological pruning to help the vines build stronger reserves and greater resistance to frost. Their approach to blending, both grape varieties and different vintages, along with the choice of vessels (jars, barrels, stainless steel tanks) gives Camille and Mikaël’s cuvées their distinctive character.
