Domaine Ilarria, in the AOC Irouléguy appellation, is located in the valleys of Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port and Baïgorry. The estate has been farming 10 hectares of vines for several generations and is one of the pioneers of organic viticulture in the appellation.
Peio was born in the family home and feels deeply connected to his land. He loves observing his vines, spending time among them and tending the grapes. For him, everything is complementary and exists in balance.
Always seeking to work in harmony with nature, he draws inspiration from the principles of Japanese farmer and microbiologist Masanobu Fukuoka. The wines are made as naturally as possible, remaining true to this philosophy from vineyard to bottle.
