Always and again! Champagnes! Grower Champagnes! We considered renaming ourselves the Champagne Cellar for 2022...! This month, we have returns of beautiful cuvĂ©es from winemakers we love very much! The lovely Champagnes from ClĂ©ment Perseval in Chamery on the Montagne de Reims, excellent value for money with his Blanc de Noirs, Blanc de Blancs, RosĂ© or his vintage 2014 Blanc de Blancs cuvĂ©e. New arrivals from FrĂšres Laherte in Chavot, very close to Epernay, a lovely extra-brut cuvĂ©e "Ultradition" from a blend of parcels and grape varieties, then some very beautiful single-parcel cuvĂ©es "Nature de Craie", "Les Empreintes 2015", "Petit Meslier" in very, very limited quantities. And of course, Thomas's favorite, Chartogne-Taillet Champagnes and their unconditional Saint-Anne cuvĂ©e, available in bottle or magnum... Note a 2013 bottling for the magnum and a disgorgement in November 2021, which promises magnificent tasting moments... đ„
From the Loire region, we've brought in new arrivals from La Trochoire, our small 3-hectare Chinon estate planted only with white grapes, and notably its cuvĂ©e from a long maceration of Chenin, a small delight of ripe fruits, with a vibrant and slightly tannic texture, a great wine for original food & wine pairings! Also a small novelty from Claire et Florent BĂ©jon, the natural cuvĂ©e "Pain Perdu" from a calcareous single-parcel selection. And then, another newly arrived macerated white đ§Ą: the cuvĂ©e "Ch M3 Gn Cf 2020" from Guillaume Noire, a surprising maceration of Chenin and pressed Grolleau / Cabernet Franc! His other juicy cuvĂ©es were on the same wagon and are back in the cellar!
New at the cellar! Some nice and natural cuvées from Fond CyprÚs in the CorbiÚres! The vineyard began its total organic conversion from 2004 to 2010, then they refined their winemaking to be as natural as possible alongside their Burgundian friend, and no stranger to the industry, Frédéric Cossard. Discover it here!
A little getaway to one of Spain's most beautiful appellations đ located in LeĂłn: Bierzo! It is in this very beautiful vineyard, located in continuity with Galicia, that Cesar MarquĂ©z, nephew of the famous Raul PĂ©rez, has been working since 2015 with a true mosaic of 52 plots that he infuses for a long time. Discover his "small" but super cool "Paraje" cuvĂ©e, full and juicy, and also his very beautiful white cuvĂ©e made from Godello, a linear white wine of great finesse!
Finally, as raclette and fondue savoyarde are more than ever in season, we have what you need: the saline and very tonic wines made from JacquÚre and Altesse from Domaine Dupasquier!!
