Michel Couvreur's whiskies are synonymous with aging, maturation, and sherry casks. Michel Couvreur had a very personal vision of whisky and dedicated his work and research to the evolution of whisky since 1978. It is in galleries dug into the heart of the Burgundy rock, in impressive humidity, silence, and calm at a depth of 10m, that the whiskies evolve, mature, and grow. All of this is combined with an enviable selection of casks from the finest bodegas and estates, allowing the whiskies to achieve a distinctive style and nobility after several years of maturation. Although Michel passed away in 2013, his strength and work live on in the capable hands of his cellar master Jean Arnaud Frantzen and his son-in-law Cyril Deschamps, supported by Michel's wife Marthe and his daughter Alexandra.
