DOMAINE MONBLANC 2024 Vin de France (Pacherenc sec) 75cl White

€1190 EUR

Grape varieties: 50% Gros Manseng, 40% Colombard & 10% Petit Manseng

Terroir: Clay-limestone

Winemaking: The three grape varieties are vinified separately after direct pressing.

Ageing: Fermentation and ageing in clay jars for 6 months for Gros and Petit Manseng, and 6 months in stainless steel on fine lees for Colombard.

Tasting notes: Aromas of citrus fruit, with lemon standing out. On the palate, the attack is lively, the mid-palate smooth, and the finish both lemony and saline. A beautiful, precise wine.

🍷 Serving temperature: 10-12°C

It was in 1985 that Daniel Saint-Orens gave a new purpose to the family farm, out with the cattle, in with the grapes. By planting vines on the heights of Maumusson-Laguian, he fully embraced the Madiran adventure. In 2021, his son Florian returned home after gaining experience in other wine estates. Brimming with ideas, he holds nothing back in cultivating his 10 hectares, planted with Tannat, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Manseng, Gros Manseng, and Colombard. Organic practices in the vines, he experiments with various vessels for vinification (barrels, jars, tanks), seeking fresh expressions that remain true to his clay-limestone terroir.
