Welcome! You have arrived at an independent/artisanal wine merchant in Pau, located on Place de la Libération, opposite the Palais de Justice, in the foothills of the Pyrénées, nestled between Jurançon to the south, Madiran to the north, and Irouléguy to the west. Our shop is just steps away from the Market, right in the heart of the city center.
The "Cave", as it is called in French, was created in 2010 by Thomas BUISSON, a former wine merchant in Paris (18th and 5th arrondissements), winemaker at various estates in Languedoc, Burgundy, and the South-West, and a former sommelier in restaurants in Antibes and Cannes. With an open-minded approach to discovery, we aim to offer wines that stray from mass-produced labels; wines from lesser-known winemakers, perhaps, but producing truly exciting wines!
Louise, originally from the UK and half Dutch, has been an ongoing support to Thomas since the start, especially with her business and marketing background. Passionate about food, she and Thomas make a formidable team creating unique tasting expériences.
Since the year of Covid, we've also embraced the modern world with our "remote" wine shop. Sharing our passion directly with you is essential to us, but we are well-equipped and can ship anywhere in the world. Thanks to email, phone, and our online chat, we can assist you in the best way possible. We also invite you to discover our blog to share tastings and various experiences!
