AURELIEN REVILLOT Brunetières 2021 Bourgueil 75cl Red
Grape variety: Cabernet Franc
A single-parcel selection from Brunetières, planted in 1955, on soils with dark clay topsoil, underlain by limestone and alternating layers of yellow and white tuffeau. Aged in Burgundian barrels that have seen several vintages.
Tasting notes: A powerful, complex nose with red and black fruit, herbal and smoky notes, and a distinctive chalky character. The palate is structured, with present yet silky tannins. This wine shows great aromatic concentration and long persistence. It will continue to develop beautifully over many years in the cellar.
🍷 Serve at 16–17°C – decant 2 hours before serving
Aurélien Revillot has been established since 2012 on 2.8 hectares across 7 parcels in Bourgueil and Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil. Originally from Mâcon, he is a trained oenologist with several years of experience as vineyard manager at Domaine de la Chevalerie in Bourgueil, not to mention his time working in various Burgundian estates
In 2018, he decided to dedicate more time to his own vines, working with respect for living ecosystems and a minimal-intervention approach in the cellar. His wines are marked by elegance and finesse.
