Double distilled in traditional stills. Rested for 8 months in bourbon-seasoned oak barrels, to obtain a well-balanced tequila, reflecting a subtle harmony between agave and woody spices, without losing its freshness.
Tasting notes: Light and silky, the wood brings a spicy touch that perfects its personality. Notes of roasted peppers and fresh figs complete the experience. Slight woody notes, beautiful agave presence and perfectly balanced spices.
Sophie Decobecq is the founder of Calle 23. A travel enthusiast, an engineer by training, and following various distillery visits in South Africa and Mexico, Sophie decided to settle in Guadalajara. The agaves used are grown over 2000m above sea level, which gives them very fruity aromas.
The name... the street Sophie was on when she was asked about her brand's name!
