This very old wine estate, already planted with vines in the 16th century – and perhaps much earlier..., with buildings dating back to the 11th century, one of the jewels of the upper Hérault valley and the Cévennes foothills, in Saint Bauzille-de-Putois below the Larzac plateau, had to be reborn from its abandonment. Located in the heart of this valley, at the foot of the Grottes des Demoiselles (an exceptional 3-star classified site), Domaine de Sauzet is one of the oldest properties in the region, a pioneer in vine cultivation and winemaking in private cellars.
