Vincent Roussely represents the fourth generation of this family-run wine estate, located in the AOC Touraine and Touraine-Chenonceaux appellations, overlooking the banks of the Cher River. The vineyard spans 8 hectares, certified organic since 2007. Some of the estate’s oldest vines are now over 80 years old.
The terroir is composed of clay-limestone soils rich in flint. The land is cultivated with great respect, using traditional ploughing and soil aeration methods, with no chemical inputs; and the oldest vines are even worked by horse! The estate is deeply committed to protecting biodiversity, both plant and animal, within its ecosystem.
One of the estate’s most distinctive features is its remarkable network of tuffeau cellars carved beneath the vineyard. These underground galleries, dug over 250 years ago, are perfectly adapted for the vinification and ageing of their wines.
