DOMAINE DES BOISSIERES Quille de Rouge 2024 Marcillac 75cl Red
Grape variety: Fer Servadou (also known as Mansois)
From parcels of limestone, clay-limestone, and red sandstone soils. Aged for 8 months in Burgundy barrels and demi-muids (600L oak casks).
Tasting notes: Deep in colour, with a generous, expressive nose of red fruit and blackcurrant, alongside the grape’s signature spicy notes. The palate is smooth and juicy, yet full enough to offer a distinct velvety texture. It’s a cuvée we truly love!
🍷 Serving temperature: 16°C
Marc Fraysse is a young winemaker who has taken over the two hectares of vines originally planted by his great-grandfather. After travelling as far as Australia, he has now settled back in his native Aveyron, where he cultivates his estate using biodynamic practices. No additives are used in his beautifully crafted wines, including this superb Marcillac, made exclusively from Mansois (also known as Fer Servadou).
