Grape variety: Chenin
This is Stéphane Bernaudeau’s flagship cuvée, sourced from a tiny parcel of less than 1 hectare, with vines planted in 1910. The plot sits on a clay-schist plateau with a warm south/south-west exposure.
Stéphane Bernaudeau is based in Cornu, in Anjou (Martigné-Briand area), and produces very small quantities of wines that impress with their deep, mineral texture on the palate. A true artisan grower, he previously worked with Mark Angeli before establishing his own domaine in 2000.
