Clos Marfisi is a historic family estate located in the heart of the small wine-growing village of Patrimonio. Mathieu and Julie, who run the vineyard, are brother and sister and represent the 5th generation to produce the estate's wines. The estate has been certified organic since 2018, and their wines are meticulously crafted, with common sense and without frills. In the cellar, aging is mainly in concrete or stainless steel tanks with minimal intervention.
For several years, Mathieu has been the president of the Patrimonio winemakers' union and is deeply involved in organic farming and the qualitative improvement of wine production in the appellation. The appellation is a pioneer in France, having banned all synthetic chemical herbicides in agreement with all its winemakers, officially since July 2022!
