GIACOMETTI Cuvée de l'Agriate 2023 Vin de France (Patrimonio) Corsica 75cl White
Grape variety: 100% Vermentinu, from the Parata and Batolaccio plots
Terroir: Granitic soils in the village of Casta
Aging, Vinification: Manual harvest, direct pressing, natural cold settling for 24 hours, racking of the clear juice by gravity, all with indigenous yeasts. Seven months of aging on fine lees in stainless steel tanks. Unfined, unfiltered, micro-dose of sulfur at bottling.
Tasting notes: Nose with notes of grapefruit peel, white flowers, a hint of minerality... Equally elegant on the palate, the richness of Vermentino is perfectly balanced by a saline aromatic, nice length.
🍷 Serving temperature 10-12°, aging potential 3 years
Let us set the scene for you: Domaine Giacometti is nestled in a dreamlike setting! In the heart of the Agriate Desert, very close to the Gulf of Saint-Florent, Sarah & Simon (brother and sister) are now taking over the reins of this three-generation family estate. The Agriate Desert, which is anything but deserted, has been part of the Patrimonio AOC since 1987 - the AOC itself dates back to 1968. It is characterized by granite soil and a basin-like morphology that allows it to retain water underground and let the wind rush through. The wines are sunny and incredibly juicy, with a good dose of freshness! ☀️
