CLOS SIGUIER Etglouglouglou... 2025 Vin de France (Cahors) 75cl Red

€1290 EUR

Grape Variety: 50-year-old Jurançon Noir

Rich and concentrated, the grapes struggle to grow on the shallow clay-limestone soils. Only 10% of the appellation's winegrowers cultivate the original terroir of Auxerrois (Malbec). A 15-hectare estate of vineyards, strictly respecting the environment without certification. The vinifications are also natural.

Tasting: A surprising cuvée, with beautiful, overripe aromatics (currant, spices) but a flowing texture based on freshness and indulgence, with ripe, round tannins. The famous "Glouglou" from the Southwest...!

🍷 Serving temperature 17°

The estate is located in the Quercy Blanc or Causse Blanc, due to the high proportion of light-colored limestone rock, and we are at the Bley family's vineyard, winemakers since 1779! Baptiste has now taken over from his father Gilles, who is still by his side and who already ensured that the work was done with respect for the environment. The younger generation aims to go even further and reintroduce animals that were once present on the estate, a beautiful project in progress. A little nod and thanks to François Hadji Lazaro (from the groups Pigalle and Garçons bouchers… who passed away in 2023!), through whom I discovered this estate a few years ago…
