Since 1988, as an almost solitary pioneer, Luis Anxo has been dedicated to recovering the traditional grape varietals of Ribeiro, and more specifically those of the Arnoia valley, his place of origin and heart. He owns 3.7 hectares divided into over 80 plots. These are small hillside plots, almost inhospitable, where ancient stone walls can be found. He also owns 1.3 hectares in the Ribadavia valley, where he produces the estate's unique single-vineyard wine "A Teixa". The wines from this estate have astonishing aging potential, both white and red.

His working philosophy is simple: endemic grape varietals, manual viticulture practices as close to the environment as possible, and low yields. For Luis Anxo, the wines of Arnoia express the most minerality in his appellation and can therefore be a bit closed in their youth. Far from exuberant and flattering, his wines will reveal themselves on the palate through textures and sensations.

These wines are among our Cellar's favorites! They are incredibly fine and delicate! They somewhat resemble the style of Jura wines, very far from preconceived notions about Spanish wines!
