Diatomists is the story of three friends united by their passion for the wines of Jerez: Antonio, originally from Jerez, George from Oxford and Tommy from Barcelona. With over 20 years of combined experience in the wine world, they travel across Andalusia in search of dedicated winemakers who share their deep respect for terroir.
Their philosophy? Putting the grape and the soil back at the heart of Sherry! For many years, the region has placed greater emphasis on cellar ageing and the solera system, sometimes at the expense of individual vineyard identity. Diatomists champions a new generation of wines where freshness, fruit and the expression of terroir take centre stage once again.
They carefully select wines aged under flor yeast and barrels that offer a beautiful balance between freshness and delicate oxidative notes. The result is a collection of precise, floral and fruit-driven wines that reveal the remarkable diversity of Andalusia's terroirs.
A wonderful way to rediscover the wines of Jerez, where ageing enhances the expression of terroir rather than overshadowing it!
