Emilien's Thoughts on the 2020 Vintage:
"Definitely a vintage built for ageing. Don't hesitate to decant it, or at least give it plenty of time to open up...
It's neither a particularly warm nor a particularly cool vintage. I'd say it plays on both 'temperatures', something I can feel in both its texture and aromatic evolution.
Often quite vertical and precise when first opened, without being austere, it's a wine that really benefits from breathing. I always say this, but with certain vintages, like this one, it makes an even greater difference!"
And now, I'll leave you to enjoy Emilien's beautifully poetic words, expressing his philosophy and approach to winemaking.
"I am proud to be a winegrower.
To work with this climbing vine that makes its way through the rocks, capable of creating its own soil within the stone.
This powerful plant, so resilient yet so sensitive, has always shared an intimate connection with people wherever it has taken root.
I love the relationship between its cultivation and nature.
Deeply rooted, it twists and turns, climbing, exploring.
With its head among the stars, the vine allows me to keep my feet firmly on the ground.
To make the invisible perceptible.
Earth or art? Terroir!"
