QUISSAT À Mon Grand Père 2023 Vin de France 75cl Red

€1110 EUR

Grape variety: 100% Négret de Banhars

Terroir: Clay-limestone soils

Vinification: 100% grapes, and nothing else! Indigenous yeasts. Pure grape juice, with no sulphites and no additives of any kind added

Tasting notes: A beautifully coloured wine, vibrant and fruit-driven, relatively light on the palate with a moderate alcohol level. Atypical, with a truly original character. Black fruits, blackcurrant and liquorice burst through, always fresh and crunchy.

“This Négret de Banhars cuvée is a tribute from my father, Rémy Delouvrié, to his grandfather Auguste. He was a winegrower in the hamlet of Banhars, a small village in northern Aveyron, where his terraced vineyards overlooked the Truyère, a tributary of the Lot. Together with Romaric, my husband, we are deeply committed to perpetuating this link between generations through the cultivation of this grape variety on our hillsides between the Lot and the Garonne.”
Agathe Delouvrié Hardy, winegrower

🍷 Serving temperature: 16–17 °C, with light decanting.

Domaine de Quissat is located in the Lot-et-Garonne, in the commune of Bazens, not far from Agen. It is centred around the family farm, a mixed agricultural estate made up of woodland, an orchard, and cultivated fields, farmed organically since 1998. The entire estate is contiguous, allowing close control of the surrounding environment. The vineyard consists of a single large plot, interspersed with fruit hedgerows, situated halfway up a south-facing clay-limestone slope overlooking the Masse stream, a tributary of the Garonne.
