Poley Fino del Lagar, formerly known as Eléctrico, is a classic wine that has been part of Andalusian life since 1922. The Toro Albalá winery is housed in a building that was once the region's first power station, with numerous underground cellars providing ideal conditions for ageing and preserving fine wines.

This Fino is made from 100% Pedro Ximénez grapes and aged using the traditional Andalusian criaderas and solera system, in which barrels are arranged in different groups or levels known as criaderas.

Bodegas Toro Albalá was founded in 1922 in the heart of southern Córdoba, in the renowned Montilla-Moriles wine region. Its story began with a small winegrower, José María Toro Albalá, who had the inspired idea of setting aside wines for extended ageing, creating exceptional treasures for the most discerning palates. This philosophy remains at the heart of the family's values today.

Although considered a risky venture given the economic climate of the time, his vision proved remarkably successful, and Toro Albalá wines can now be found on some of the finest tables around the world.

During the 1930s, Fino wines were a staple of everyday life for Andalusia's predominantly rural workers, who enjoyed them in local bars and taverns.

The winery's unusual location in a former regional power station gave rise to a popular Andalusian joke that the wine itself was electric or somehow contained electricity! This is how the Fino acquired its famous nickname, Eléctrico, a name that is no longer used by Toro Albalá today.
