A rare and distinctive cuvée, Complantée is crafted from a unique blend of six interplanted grape varieties in a single parcel. The classic trio of Champagne—Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Meunier—is complemented by historic and lesser-known varieties: Arbane, Petit Meslier, and Pinot Blanc, reconnecting with the region’s viticultural heritage.
Sourced exclusively from the Grand Cru terroir of Avize, this Champagne is a blend of two vintages, enhancing its complexity and depth.
Aged extensively on lees, it develops a refined structure and textural richness. Disgorged two months before release, with a restrained dosage of just 5 grams of sugar per litre, it preserves a pure, mineral-driven expression of Avize's chalky soils. Pascal Agrapart is one of the most revered winemakers in Champagne. Based in Avize, at the heart of the Côte des Blancs, he crafts cuvées of exceptional purity that captivate top sommeliers and discerning wine lovers around the world.
As a Propriétaire-Récoltant-Manipulant, Pascal and his son Ambroise Agrapart cultivate their own grapes exclusively across 12 hectares, primarily classified as Grand Cru. Here, there are no purchased grapes—each cuvée is a pure reflection of its terroir. The vineyards are tended with a natural and low-intervention approach, including soil ploughing, homemade compost, and absolutely no synthetic herbicides or pesticides.
In the cellar, this commitment to authenticity continues: fermentation with indigenous yeasts, ageing in oak barrels or tanks, no fining or filtration. Each cuvée is vinified with meticulous precision and minimal dosage, allowing the vibrant minerality of the Côte des Blancs’ chalky soils to shine through.
