Tasting @ Domaine Haugarot, Jurançon

A lovely tasting at Jean Pierre Proharam's Domaine Haugarot in St Faust in the Jurançon region, where we sampled a fine selection of his dry Jurançons right through to the late harvests, with a new one soon to be released called "Dame Nature", a dry wine... from a single barrel of Petit Manseng with zero added sulfites, unfiltered, unfined, and naturally fermented. This dry Jurançon captivated us with its free and complex aromatic profile, its structure combining finesse and fullness, its lively and invigorating straightforwardness, a beautiful gastronomic wine for the gourmet table, to pair with splendid king prawns, for example..!
